Brent Wallarab joins us on the latest episode of The JAZZIZ Podcast. Together with the Buselli-Wallarab Jazz Orchestra, the renowned ensemble he co-leads with trumpeter Mike Buselli, they creatively breathe new life into the label's early records and pay tribute to legendary artists such as King Oliver, Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbecke Bill D. Kershner 1936 - 2016. Bill D. Kershner was born Dec. 15, 1936 in San Angelo, Texas. He attended Lake View High School, graduating in 1955. He began his music career playing Trumpet in the Lake View band, beginning in the fifth grade and continued playing for the rest of his life. In 1992, Wallarab was appointed specialist in jazz for the Smithsonian Institution and serves as transcriber, researcher, editor, and advisor for the Smithsonian's extensive jazz program.
