Aralık (Azerbaijani: Aralıq; Kurdish: Başko; Armenian: Արալիխ, romanized: Aralikh; Russian: Аралык, romanized: Aralyk) is a town in the Iğdır Province in the Eastern Anatolia region of Turkey.It is the seat of Aralık District. Its population is 5,809 (2022). Aralık lies near the right bank of the river Aras, across the border from the Armenian town Artashat. In arid and semi-arid regions, one of the biggest problems for soil which is bare and/or has insufficient vegetation is wind erosion caused by strong winds.
