CGS Hawk is much-beloved by owners, with more than 2,000 aircraft flying. With wonderful flying qualities, Hawk is available in a variety of models, including Part 103. This includes the Classic, Arrow I, Sport, Plus, and Ultra. As he operates "CGS Hawk Single and Ultra," Bob is assisted by his two sons, LB and Jonah, though the latter is part time as he has a full-time gig with Cirrus Design. Arrow II Two-Seater Ultralight. The Hawk Arrow II is our two-seater offered in kit form, to be built as an Amateur-Built Experimental or ELSA aircraft in the U.S. or AULA in Canada and the rest of the World. The long streamlined cockpit area has a flat floor, and a low sloping windshield that gives unobstructed forward visibility. The Plus was designed to accommodate the requests of customers needing a larger cargo capacity. The Hawk Plus uses the same fuselage at the two seat Arrow, but with only the front seat. Wing tanks are standard on the Plus, so the rear area is completely unobstructed for hauling cargo, additional fuel tanks, or a passenger in a jump seat. The two place CGS Hawk comes in with an empty weight of 472 lbs when powered by the Rotax 582, with a gross weight of 1100 lbs this gives over 600 lbs of useful load! Currently the craft is equipped with two 5 gallon tanks, but Terry is working on wing tanks, with a capacity of 7 gallons per wing.
