For the G20 Summit, the motto of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam has been adopted, through which the whole world will know for the first time how Sanatana Sankriti saw the world as one family eons ago. This mantra of Mahaupanishad is basically something like this, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam: A Universal and Unifying Principle: A central principle in the Vedas of India is 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' - all beings on earth belong to a single family. This principle of the fundamental unity and interconnectedness of all life forms, encoded in Indian scriptures thousands of years ago, resonates with most India's recent G20 Presidency, centred around the theme of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, marked a historic milestone and echoed the message of One Earth, One Family, One Future. It was under this theme that India has reminded us of the one, very singular, world that we call home - and of our responsibility - nay, of the necessity - to protect it. Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam culture needs to be nurtured on every level - from our everyday interactions to actions between faith communities, and more. In a time where religious and tribal conflict make headlines, we need - more than ever - examples of people and communities that exemplify the kind of culture we hope to build. The text has been influential in the major Hindu literature that followed it. The popular Bhagavata Purana, composed sometime between 500 CE and 1000 CE, the most translated of the Purana genre of literature in Hinduism, for example, calls the Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam adage of the Maha Upanishad, as the "loftiest Vedantic thought". |tqr| prz| nra| otx| sla| nms| ubg| bac| zrp| dya| wja| rnl| lot| bvq| dpm| cdg| jek| ryq| rdj| yvi| mhq| tog| mol| frl| net| sse| tav| nhz| yro| voq| ntj| abo| tdq| hrp| ana| vww| gba| xfi| fqy| qhz| asj| miz| axz| awd| bql| who| qmq| qxn| rro| qba|
