I was headed there to participate in the Theosophical Society's 147th International Convention. Little did I know on that flight how rich of an experience Adyar is the location of the International Headquarters of the Theosophical Society (TS) in Chennai (formerly named Madras), India. Adyar Day was founded in 1922 with the intent that on February 17 of every year theosophists around the world might turn their thoughts to the spiritual and administrative center of the Society.
