On the 26 th of September 1919, a meeting took place in central Brisbane between those interested May 24, 2021 ·. On the 28th May 1966 RQAC Piper Colt 22 VH-RQJ was stolen in the early hours of the Saturday from Hangar 1 and did a joy flight around Brisbane including flying under the Story Bridge finally landing in Dorrington Park at Ashgrove. The rogue pilot was caught and later jailed. The Royal Queensland Aero Club (RQAC) is an Australian aero club and a certified [1] flight training provider [2] based at Archerfield Airport in Brisbane. Established in 1910 as the Australian Aero Club, it is one of the world's oldest aviation organisations and the oldest in the southern hemisphere. Spread the Word.
