By Dom Galeon. I have seen Ang Paglilitis Kay Mang Serapio a number of times now. In one of those times, I had the chance to watch it with Paul Dumol, the author of the Palanca award-winning play. Almost all of the versions of Mang Serapio that I have seen staged were directed by Christian Vallez, another Palanca winner who goes by the pseudonym Juan Ekis. In this essay, I will be writing an interpretative analysis of the Filipino playwright, Paul A. Dumol's play, Ang Paglilitis Ni Mang Serapio or The Trial of Mang Serapio through the framework of Ang Paglilitis Kay Mang Serapio by the Theatre Titas and Duende Theater runs every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from September 7 to 16 at the Ruins in Poblacion, Makati.
