Just trying to help bud. If you ever find out if the faces are connected to the outer lip or the inner barrel, rebuilding yourself may be an option. There was a site i found that custom made lips, could probably make them with the appropriate # of bolt holes for MR5's. If I come across it again I'll link it. My plan is to get another set of TPM sensors and mount these on my steelies for winter use only. I just can't make up my mind with what I want to do with the rims. Here are some of my ideas (cheap) which I am looking for feedback on. 1. Step 2: Clean steel rim with soapy water & abrasive pad. Step 2.5: Dry rim thoroughly with cloth or towels. Step 3: Sand rim until seemingly grey (doesnt take a lot of effort) Step 4: Clean rim again to remove any debris from sanding process. Step 4.5: Dry rim again - make sure there is no water in any crevice or dimple. I use the long, rectangle boxes that the Post Office sells. If you are just having it rebarreled, take the bolt out, remove the trigger, wrap the bolt and barreled action in bubble wrap and put it in the box. Fill the voids with bubble wrap or packing paper and then tape it up with good packing tape. Step 2: Start sanding with a low numbered grit sandpaper/sand block or sanding tool of whatever type you prefer. I started out with a 80grit sanding block to remove the black coating on them. 30-40 Krag = 47,000 PSI. .243 Win. = 60,190 PSI. If you didn't need the .243 barrel any longer, it could be re-bored to .30 cal. and then chambered for the 30-40 Krag, re-crowned and re-installed on your receiver. Obviously, a new extractor would have to be worked in since the Krag is a rimmed cartridge.
