The trail was bare and dry. We took 1hr 15 min for the return hike (travel time), with an additional 13 minutes spent at the falls. Our hike measured 3.02km return. The falls are nice, although the water flow was relatively light (so not exactly the massive Hawaiian flow into a swimmable pool like you might have expected). Segment 14 of the Waterliniepad passes Fort Jutphaas and through park Oudegein. This is segment 14 of the Waterliniepad ("Waterline Trail"), running through and around Nieuwegein. The trail crosses the canal at the locks to visit Fort Jutphaas, an elongated fort of the Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie. Along the center of Nieuwegein, the route leads to park Oudegein, one of Holland's most beautiful HOW TO GET TO LULUMAHU FALLS. From Waikiki, take the Pali Hwy (61 N ) towards Kailua. The trailhead is just to the right of the parking lot, through a locked Lulumahu Falls seems to always be crowded, and for a good reason: It's one of the most straightforward hikes through lush forest to a towering two-tier waterfall. This 2-mile round trip walk through the woods is great for adventurous hikers that are not interested in spending all day on the approach. However, those seeking solitude should look elsewhere, as its popularity has only grown in the Segment 13 of the Waterliniepad passes the forts Rijnauwen, Vechten and 't Hemeltje. Segment 13 of the Waterliniepad runs along the eastern edges of Utrecht until Nieuwegein. The route runs a short distance through the city for a visit to Wilhelminapark, then follows the quays of the Kromme Rijn river out of the city towards Amelisweerd.
