SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM Approximately 100 recreation centers throughout the City of Los Angeles participate in the Summer Food Services Program for Children. Providing free, nutritionally-balanced lunches for our young people, ages 1-18, is the goal of this program. This popular program gets its funding from the United States Department of Agriculture. Nutrition Access LA is a multi-sector coalition made up of partners from government, community-based organizations, advocacy, health care, school districts and other sectors working collaboratively to ensure all people in Los Angeles County have access to sufficient, nutritious, and affordable food. We specialize in providing youth and adults with fun and hands-on nutrition and cooking classes and nutrition and physical activity classes at our network of certified farmers' markets. The PSGC also works collaboratively with community-based sites to bring our programs to parks, schools, afterschool programs, and healthcare clinics.
