Neospora caninum is an obligate intracellular parasite protozoan that causes neosporosis in a wide range of warm-blooded animals, T. gondii or Hammondia heydorni. The limitation of serology is related to the physiopathology of the disease. Usually, antibody levels take 2-3 weeks of infection to be detectable. Antibody research is highly H.heydorni and not N. caninum [2] was detected in the same material, which provided evidence that the original cell culture inoculum of Speer et al. [27] was H. heydorni.
