I have the service model with 5,000+ rounds no problem. The captured recoil spring did cause a malfuction at about the 4,000 round mark. I called Springfield then sent an email with a photo and recevied a whole new recoil rod spring set. No more problems. The new spring did result in a stiffer more resistant effort to work the slide.
