Having moved to Bayridge from the Bronx I am very familiar with Dominican food. Ate here for breakfast and the food was great. El Malecon fell short of my expectations on multiple levels . Level 1 : Their portioning is terrible . 15 habichuelas , paired pound of rice is ridiculous . To compound the issue , I Foolishly tipped for a carry out ! Level 2: Serving Old empanadas .
