Gertrude and Canopy Collections are thrilled to announce their first collaborative exhibition, Pourquoi London. For the past few years, both platforms have been championing alternative models to democratise the art industry and support emerging artists in a fast-changing art world. Set against the backdrop of an exceptional Grade-II listed For Fora's eighth flexible workspace at 42-46 Princelet Street, Piercy&Company drew inspiration from the rich heritage of the iconic Brick Lane in east London to showcase the best of British craft. 42-46 Princelet Street substantially refurbishes and extends an existing building, originally two buildings and since connected to form a single Save Brick Lane is a campaign aimed at stopping a development proposal from the Old Truman Brewery. Launching on the steps of an old Hugenot townhouse on Princelet Street. The aim is to raise awareness of the development. One which could have a massive impact on the character of the area.
