Leadership Programs Nashua PAL Youth Safe HavenThe Nashua PAL Youth Safe Haven, located at 52 Ash Street in Nashua, provides afterschool and summer care to 350-400 youth per year. Nashua PAL Youth Safe Haven is open to youth 7 through 18 years of age. We're located in the heart of Nashua's "Tree Streets" (52 Ash Street). Free membership is offered Law Enforcement Exploring, commonly referred to as Police Explorers or Police Scouts, is an American vocational education program that allows youth to explore a career in law enforcement by working with local law enforcement agencies.Founded on July 12, 1973, it is one of the Exploring programs from Learning for Life, a non-Scouting affiliate of the Boy Scouts of America. We meet one day per week, usually a weeknight evening, at Portsmouth Police Department. We also get together throughout the year to support certain community events. The cadet program began in 1999 and went strong for over 20 years, but was paused in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID, before returning in February of 2022. Since the association's inception, we have impacted the lives of thousands of children and less fortunate in the city. The NPPA also has a charitable brand called the Nashua Police Patrolman's Charities which allows our members to impact the lives of the youth of the southern New Hampshire region through charitable endeavors and improving The Nashua Police Department is continually seeking qualified persons to become Police Officers in our fine city.
