Tim DeRuyter. Timothy James DeRuyter ( / dəˈruːtər / də-ROO-tər; born January 3, 1963) is an American football coach and former player who is currently the defensive coordinator at Texas Tech University. He previously served in the same capacity at the University of Oregon in 2021 and prior to that he was the associate head coach and Mired in a 1-7 start to the season and on a six-game losing streak, Fresno State has fired football coach Tim DeRuyter. Tim DeRuyter's coaching record in five seasons at Fresno State was 30-30 DeRuyter, who was the former defensive coordinator at Texas A&M, has led the Bulldogs to a 20-6 record in his two seasons, including an 11-2 mark in 2013.
