Pembrokeshire-born second-generation farmer Romeo Sarra decided many years ago has turned to Farming Connect's Venture programme to help him find a new younger business partner for Peepout Organic Farm. He's hoping to find an individual who will be happy to work alongside him, on a trial basis to start with, with a view to taking over John, James & Morgan Scale Established by their father Jack, brothers John and James continue to run their family farm based in Houghton, Pembrokeshire. John's son Morgan is now involved in the day-to-day running of the business, growing 200 acres of potatoes. They have recently invested in modern potato storage to accommodate their expanding The Scale Family. Our farming roots in Pembrokeshire go back to the 1930s. At Benton Farm we've got around seven varieties of spuds being sown and grown. We change the mix to reflect changing demands in the marketplace. We teamed up with Puffin Produce about three years ago and the relationship is working really well. Firstly, don't head here expecting Folly Farm! It's a very small, low key but lovely attraction for an hour or two out of the house. You'd spend no more than you would visiting a soft play area but you'll be outdoors in a beautiful setting. It's £5 for adults and £3 for children (babies under 2 are free). You can park right outside It's also the only farm in the area that offers free range and organic products, which are growing in demand. All of the farm's 160,000 birds this year will be the Pembrokeshire Bronze - both organic and free range.
